When will people cotton on?
Conventionally grown cotton uses 25% of the world’s insecticides.
In many countries, antiquated equipment causes dangerous
spillages.
Even in the U.S., pesticides unintentionally kill 67 million birds every
year.
Nitrogen-heavy fertilizer runoff from cotton fields feeds oceanic
“dead zones” that deprive water of oxygen. Because of this, the Aral
Sea, once the world’s fourth largest body of fresh water, can’t even
support fish.
Processes such as stonewashing a single pair of jeans use up to
750 litres of water – and make you look like a Hof wannabe!
You simply don't get the same problems with organic T-shirts and hoodies.
Fashion doesn't have
to cost the Earth.
